Enterprise Architect 6.0 released

New features include an embedded discussion forum for your team, round trip design for ActionScript 2.0, and support for Subversion.

I haven't looked at it yet in depth, so you know as much as I do at this point.

  1. Thanks for the update, just downloaded the new version and looking forward to having a play.

Does Version 6.0 Support Coldfusion Round-Trip yet? And is it compatible with the CFC-Generator you developed for previous version.

    Cheers

  2. This version does not support CF round-tripping yet. I'm skeptical that it ever will. CF doesn't seem to be a strict enough language to make the reverse engineering work.

Maybe if they add the ability to roll our own cfc inspection templates, we might be able to make customized reverse engineering work for our particular needs. Hopefully, I'm wrong about that.

There doesn't appear to be any problem with using the cfmdg.xml file I put together a while ago. I don't think they made many changes in the MDG area of the program.

I like the new forums that have been added. It's handy to have that sort of discussion capability close to the model. Plus, you can drag objects from the explorer directly into the post and a link gets created. You can even edit properties right in a post. Very cool.
